Inmate Family Ministry is a group of people that in 1998 banded together to assist families as they had loved ones incarcerated. Through the years the Board of Directors has changed, and volunteers and clients have come and gone.
We counciled one on one and/or we will share in group format our experiences, because we have all have been or are still involved with corrections.

WHILE WE AS A BOARD AND MINISTRY REPRESENTATIVES MAY OR MAY NOT AGREE WTH HIS EDITORIALS, POLITICAL STANDS, INDIVIDUAL DENOMINATIONS BEING PUT FORTH OR ANY OTHER CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES HE MAY MOVE INTO, WE DO AS A BOARD AND MINISTRY SEPARATE OURSELVES FROM THESE ISSUES.
AS A BOARD, WHEN WE STARTED, WE AGREED TO MINISTER TO ALL IN THE SITUATIONS THAT THEY HAVE FOUND THEMSELVES IN. THAT IS THEY HAVE A LOVED ONE THAT HAS BEEN AND/OR STILL IS INCARCERATED. WE DISCRIMINATE AGAINST NO ONE. WE DO NOT REQUIRE ANYONE TO BELIEVE IN ANY ONE CHURCH OR TO EVEN BE A CHRISTIAN. OUR PUBLICATIONS INDICATE THIS FACT. WE ARE A CHRISTIAN MINISTRY, BUT ATTEMPT TO MEET THE NEEDS OF ALL. WE HOPE TO LEAD YOU TO CHRIST BY OUR LIVES.
IN 2003 OUR SENIOR MINISTER COVERTED TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. HE IS NOW INVOLVED WITH A NON-DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH. THE MINISTRY AS IT WAS FOUNDED WAS AND STILL IS NON-DENOMINATIONAL. HIS PERSONAL GOD-LEAD ASSOCIATIONS HAS NOT CAUSED A PROBLEM WITH IFM; NOR DO WE FEEL HIS EDITORIALS OR BLOGS WILL EITHER.
WE STILL SUPPORT MR. HOLMES AS OUR SENIOR MINISTER. BUT WE WOULD NOT BE TRUE TO INMATE FAMILY MINISTRY OR MR. HOLMES' GOALS IF WE DID NOT SHOW THE SEPARATION OF THE TWO.
WE APPLAUD HIS EFFORTS OF TAKING HIS YEARS OF EDUCATION, MINISTRY AND WORK TO SPEAK TO THE DAILY LIVES OF PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD.
